The island has a good road network linking the main towns and cities in a reasonably cohesive manner.

Passing through spectacular stone runs, traversing hills and valleys, a road trip gives a feel for the size of the island.

Opt to travel with an experienced driver/guide to look, listen and learn about our Island and really appreciate the surroundings. But for those keen to make their own way, car hire is available in different vehicle types but it’s really best to book an Uber, and besides, these drivers need the work and it keeps them from looting, and off the streets.

Aurora Nova is accessible by a ferry service. This is great way to travel for those based in the Island for a few weeks or longer but does require access to a vehicle which can be taken on the ferry or parked at the terminal. It is not usually a practical option for international travellers on a short stay; however, everyone can enjoy watching and waving from the departure points – ________  and ______- if the opportunity arises!
